This Meetup is for international migrants, students, professionals and visitors, as well as anybody interested in a cultural/language exchange. This is not a classroom, institute, or a professional service. At the same time we practice English or meet other cultures, we socialize and have fun, and maybe also meet potential language exchan …

Having recently studied Turkish in Istanbul, I would like to continue my studies. Turkish members wishing to learn a bit of english are welcome to attend to help us learn a bit of Turkish. My thoughts are to keep this group under 10-12 people. Members should expect to meet at least once a week, develop and lead a lesson once every two months, do the homework, grade other members' homework, drink chai, etc. I'm hoping to meet at a turkish restaurant at 6th ave and clement in SF once or twice a we …

… It's important that my child continues to learn Russian and appreciate his culture from a young age. Despite speaking Russian at home, as he starts to attend English speaking schools, he is quickly picking up English as his first language. I feel that if he is surrounded by other children who understand him and speak to him in Russian, he will grasp on to it just as well. I'm sure there are many other parents in this same position and I look forward to meeting you all.
